Students can now apply for federal emergency grants funding through Wenatchee Valley College. WVC has received $3,903,168 through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act to disburse to students experiencing financial crisis. Applications will be accepted until May 2022 or until funds run out.

Student ARP Act funding will provide direct emergency cash grants to college students whose lives and educations have been disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak.

​The application can be found at wvc.edu/COVIDFunds. Funds will be awarded on a case-by-case basis. The maximum award amount is $3,000. This money is not a loan and does not have to be repaid.

All currently enrolled students are encouraged to apply. Prospective students may apply for funds as soon as they enroll for winter or spring quarters. If students are not sure if they qualify or if they have questions, they can contact caresfund@wvc.edu.

The ARP Act is the third round of funding being disbursed through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The previous acts were the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). If students already received funding in the previous rounds of relief funding, they are still eligible to apply for additional funds.

(ARP 법은 HEERF(고등 교육 긴급 구호 기금)를 통해 지출되는 세 번째 기금이며, 이전 법안은 코로나바이러스 구호, 구호 및 경제 안보법(CARES)과 코로나바이러스 대응 및 구호 보충 세출법(CRRSAA)이었습니다. 이는 학생들이 이전의 구호 기금에서 이미 기금을 지원받은 경우에도 추가 기금을 신청할 수 있습니다.)
